3 1/2" Painted Wood Shutters
These are painted wood shutters with 3 1/2" louvers. You see both a single shutter panel per window look (the left and right windows) and a two panel per window look (the center windows). Two panel (or four panel) applications typically look more traditional than the single panels. Single panels often look more modern. They provide more light and visibility when the louvers are open because you do not have the shutter stiles meeting in the center. They do, however, require additional space into the room when the shutter door is opened on the hinges.
These stained plantation shutters compliment this office with a rich feel. Note the door handle cutouts to accomodate the handles on the french doors. The application is topped off with a stained shutter sunburst arch over the doors.

Plantation Shutter Track System
Sliding glass doors can be covered with plantation shutters mounted on a track above the doors. The shutters slide back and forth across the sliding glass allowing you to go in and out the doors. If space allows, we can extend the track beyond the doors to allow the shutters to be off the glass to allow a total open view.
